I remembered a few things....

Nick took me to the Festival of Trees, it was so amazing!? All of the Christmas stuff; I wanted to buy one of everything. The gingerbread houses, all the trees with different themes and different sizes, Christmas baking, the singing, dancing; just everything! It was wonderful I loved it! We saw so many trees that we both wanted; of course we didn't buy anything. Also we were sitting watching ballroom dancers, and well it wasn't really ballroom dancing it was more just BLAH! It was pretty bad then they came out in salsa outfits Nick got up and said he couldn't bare to watch anymore!

Things are going great for Nick and I! We are still very much in love. He is still working for the benefits place and I'm working as a nanny of three now! We are slowly starting to look for our own place but the ones we want aren't open until February. I think we have decided that we will wait until then.

I'm still trying to learn how to be a little house wife, it's hard work! When we both are working and then get home around 5:30 I don't want to clean; and I don't like him doing it. He helps a lot, but I don't want him doing everything! So cleaning doesn't happen much before Saturday, then I try to get it all done then, I can honestly say I'm trying! I can tell it bugs Nick though because some nights he will say something along the lines of: the place looks a little messy maybe we should take time out every night to clean it. I love him so much it's cute when he does it. We both say ok and not much more happens. I'm not saying a place is a total mess but it could be better! Oh well I have my work cut out for me Saturday! ha ha

Nick's Christmas Party

Nick's Christmas Party was amazing! It was in the Joesph Smith Memorial Building and I was completely blown away. The meal of course was amazing but I was more amazed by the building. I love how Nick would tell me what kind of wood the room was made of and every little thing that you don't think is important but it's nice to know; makes me feel a little smarter.

So here is the not so great part of the night. Nick and I get there and just grabbed a table where no one else was sitting. So people are walking in and I'm meeting more people then what I can handle but none of them sit with us. Then Nick points out who the owner of the company is and a few other super important people in the company. Guess where they all decided to sit? With us. So you have the company owner and his wife, then I think some guy that use to be part owner or something and his wife. Then you have the new guy Nick and his newlywed wife me. So there are still 4 seats at the table and I just keep thinking "please someone Nick knows better sit here." Well then, the owners 2 daughters and their husbands sit with us. AMAZING! It was weird! We got up after prayer to get in line for dinner and they all just sit there; we were completely in our own little world most of the time!

After that we walked around Temple Square to see the lights and everything. I want to know who does all the lights so perfect? I'm going to hire them when we get a home! It was just amazing! The trees are completely covered and Nick pointed out even the branches touching the ground! And to think we basically just threw the lights on our little Charlie Brown tree! I love the nativity scene though. Nothing I was expecting but beautiful. I wish my parents could come out to see everything!!

So far this month has been tons of fun with decorations and Christmas parties, getting together with friends, and shopping, (which only Nick has done). I don't go useless I have someone to go with. Anyone want to go the weekend before Christmas and be crazy with me? Just a thought!

I QUIT!

So I was working for an eye doctor and loved it at first; but things were not as wonderful as they seemed. I wasn't learning quick enough, and I didn't dress the way they wanted. (Sorry I'm a newlywed and we are poor and I can't spend $500.00 a month on business clothes!) Oh and I didn't talk to people the right way!

So after a little over a month I'm done! I called off last Friday because I was sick and then come into work today and there is a 6 page paper on my desk about everything they had a problem with! They wanted me to read and sign it. It said things like you have 3 warnings about dress code violations and then you can be terminated. I had 2 at this point because well I'm not wearing business slutty clothes! That's how I see it though. So I'm reading this paper and I'm literally becoming more and more mad about things it says.

So I talked to Nick about quitting and he said wait till you have something else. I can't! Are you crazy!?

The reason I get sick every morning is because I'm stressed about my job, about everything to do with it! So I promised Nick I would have a job by Friday. Job search is on!

I cleaned and was still nice to people but mostly I spent the day looking for another job. I am quitting!

Closing time came and I wrote them a note saying thank you but things aren't working out! And left. Man it feels wonderful to not be working there anymore. I was so stressed and everything else. Now I can breathe!

Christmas Time

Nick and I went shopping with all of our Target gift cards and bought our little tree and some other decorations! I've been in such a Christmas mood I needed to finally decorate.

I love our little Charlie Brown tree. It's not much taller than me, with white lights and then red, green(all different shades), and silver bulbs; then our cute little star on top. We, of course, have a Jazz ornament on it as well. We are going to buy each other an ornament every Christmas for something to represent the past year. I guess he bought one already, doesn't love it, so if he finds something else that he loves he will use that. Me on the other hand? Haven't found a single one that I like! So much has happened this year how can I just focus on one thing?

I'm so excited to spend Christmas with him, we have been baking and watching all the Christmas cartoons on TV and everything. We were going to have an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party but somethings fell through so we aren't going to now. Sad I know.

(Kara and Brandi thank you for the Christmas stuff...we have it all out and love the stocking holders; and everything else of course! Nick loves his CD we listened to it while we were getting everything put out together. It's amazing how much you need to decorate for Christmas. Thanks for the head start.)
