Loud Neighbors!

So when we first moved in to our new place we found out the guy next door has passed away and that she would be moving. Of course, I was crossing my fingers for a younger family. Well, we got a family...and to be nice, I will just say its the parents and their teenage son(I won't give the description Nick and I use for them) Since they have moved in we hear music (rap of course) and their tv daily. Now the people there before...we didn't hear anything. And the couple on the other side of us...don't hear them either. So how loud are they? Very, Nick and I were watching a movie last night and all the sudden heard music again. We had the tv ON and could still hear them! As I'm writing this I hear music and something being thrown against the wall. Its just flat out rude. But how do we deal with something like this? Our super annoying neighbors don't exactly give off the appearance and vibe of being friendly. Nick and I have questioned, what do we do? Do we go over and say something? Go straight to the landlord? We have never been in this situation before. They have been here for maybe a week and its old already. All I can think is if you wake my kids you will have one angry mother pounding on your door! Advice please! What would you do if this was your neighbors?

Brody Brod

Brody Brod (nickname given to him by Neacel) is growing a little faster then Neacel. At his 4 month check up he was 16.13lbs (almost a pound heavier then neacel at 4 months) and 24 inches. He is about to get his 2 bottom teeth, and he has the cutest inch worm crawl. And yes, that is his real hair, that he was born with. Jealous? He has big blue eyes and the cutest smile. He loves food, I have yet to find something he won't eat. He loves peaches and squash though, and isn't a huge fan of pea's but still eats them with a smile. The dr told me at this age he should only be eating about half a jar of food, yeah well Brod has a big appetite and eats the whole jar and then wants a 4oz bottle to wash it down. On the 10th he rolled over for the first time, from tummy to back. Nick and him talk a lot, and I'm not kidding. Nick will say "uhhh" and brody repeats, they do this until Nick is bored :-) He is sleeping in his crib now, still in our room because I'm too lazy to walk to their room in the middle of the night to give him the binki or feed him. So he will stay with us until he sleeps through the night, or at least a 6+ hour chunk. Brody also loves people, of course during the winter and yucky months you keep your little ones covered, Broden screams and cries until you let him see everything around him. Luckily, he has had a few colds but nothing more. He loves rattles, and anything he can shove into his mouth. He smiles for Neacel and laughs at everything he does. They definitely have a special bond.

Also at his 4 month appointment, "it" hadn't dropped yet. She couldn't even feel "it" to give us a little hope of no surgery. I have this gut feeling that at 6 months we will be going to a urologist and getting surgery done soon after that. I know I should think positive, but at the same time, I want to mentally prepare myself for this and not just have it thrown at me. Luckily, I know some people that they have been through the same thing and the surgery is quick and easy. Nothing too complex. Little scarring, and a few not easy rules to follow after but they said the worse part was just knowing they had to get it done. Either way, everything will be ok!

"Three Hundred dollars please"

Neacel is one in a million. The things that come out of his mouth just amaze me. This morning I was sitting eating my breakfast and Neacel was sitting next to me playing with his dragon and a plush dino. All the sudden he goes to give me the dino then said "Three hundred dollars please" I said "No way, its a tiny dino, I'm not paying three hundred dollars for it!" He throws the dino at the wall next to me and says "You cheap!" He says things like this often, just random, off the wall things. At night he gets really goofy. We will go lay in bed with him just to talk to him and see what he says like...a goldfish wearing boots, a blue giraffe, someone is eating a bathtub etc etc. Then there are the times he rambles and you don't get a word from it then he says "Ewwwww Caca!" Neacel couldn't be anymore like Nick, its impossible. He loves and adores Nick so much. He is already trying to wear his shoes. Besides all the funny boy stuff, he is such a sweet boy. Im sure one day he will get rosy cheeks over this story but that's ok. He recently wants us to stay in bed with him. It's really cute, we will lay next to him and sing songs, and read but as soon as we say we have to go then he grabs us (like a hug) and says"Stay here, please" We will agree to a few more minutes, but again as soon as we get up to leave he begs us to stay. Once we pull apart he says that he needs hugs and kisses, even though he just got them. Neacel has never been the cuddly type, but I won't lie, we LOVE this. We love every minute of him wanting us to stay there with him. This is the same kid that jumps on you and when you say "OUCH" he gives you a hug and says "It's ok, your fine" This repeats itself till we finally get up and move.

Neacel's biggest news! He uses the Big Boy Potty now! He is doing pretty good. He usually makes it 4-6 times a day with only 2-4 accidents. He has a potty chart, and after 10 stickers he gets a ball (which we are going to buy today) after 20 a new book, 30 he gets a Buzz Lightyear toy since thats his new favorite thing. (Believe it or not he sat through Toy Story 3, he never sits still that long) After 40 stickers he gets his big boy underpants of his choice and are going to take him out for ice cream. He of course doesn't know that part because he would only talk and drive us nuts over that one thing. He is really doing great though. It can't be boring of course, its full of weird things. We put fruit loops in the potty and he makes them "float" (I had to share the picture, Im sure other moms understand the excitement on your kid finally using the potty!) We tell jokes, play with the lights, turn the fan on and off, read books, play with toys....anything to get him to sit long enough and to stop thinking about it. The minute he is distracted, he goes! It's weird, I know but you have to do what works right?

Nick and I talk a lot about how fast neacel is growing up. He truly is such a smart little boy, with such a big love for sports. This kid plays soccer and basketball better then I do, not that I'm any good but seriously, he knows what he is doing. He loves church and always talks about a boy named Jude, and how they are friends. He loves his little brother so much and doesn't hesitate to help us with Broden. We are so proud of the little smarty pants he is becoming!!

Just incase you were worried...

We finally have internet (couldn't live without that AND cable) and we are loving our new home. Everything is picture perfect, minus the 5 loads of laundry calling my name from the basement begging to be folded and put away. Oh and on moving day my camera fell out of one of the couches and one of the missionaries found it, I literally almost cried. Ok, I'll admit there was a few hidden tears. Now that the internet is back I will update in a couple of days about the boys and all the exciting things going on in our new home...for now Im going to keep watching episodes of Giuliana & Bill and folding laundry. Perfect rainy day in our home.

Little teaser....Broden is growing up faster then Neacel. Neacel should be a Big Boy here soon :-)
