Nick Golfing at Mick Riley - Won by a Stroke

Wher'd It Go?

Steady, steady...

Concentrating, look at that face.

Calves of steel.

Like a Pro.

Where did his lip go?

Just a little pitch shot.

Steady as you go.

Practice swing.

Look at that stance. Amazing.

Nice Butt.

Where is my putter?

There it is.

Let's do this thing.

Ahh, what a day.

Looks like a tough shot.

Memory Game!

The Memory Post

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! If we're only blogging friends, write about a post that is the most memorable for you.

2. Next, if you feel so inclined, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you...!

3. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Summer Fun

This is just a mix of the summer! We went to the zoo and those pictures I was about 23 weeks and still growing. We took the kids that I nanny with us and well that was interesting. 3 kids plus Nick and I...I should say 4 kids and myself. But we really enjoyed walking around and looking and all the animals. Nick and I maybe adults by age but at heart we are big kids.
We were just in Park City about 2 weekends ago. Just a little get away. It was really nice to just completely relax and not worry or think about a thing. We went shopping out to dinner, spent more money then we should but enjoyed every minute together! The pictures of the street market don't give it justice at all. It was nice walking around and looking at all the over priced hand made things but the hippies were just unbelievable. Now I don't mind hippies at all but I got my fair share of them that day and Nick was just in shock basically! Oh and when I was sitting for about the 1000th time some guy was looking for something out of his backpack for his 2 dogs. Well some resturant owner or something offered to get bowls of water for the dogs since it was so hot and they needed it. The hippie then replies with No thanks they only drink beer! Are you kidding me? I just started laughing I couldn't do anything else. I kept listening and he couldn't find his wallet to buy some beer for the dogs!

Stadium of Fire - 4th of July

I LOVE FIREWORKS! This was by far the best 4th of July ever. Minus having to sit in a stadium filled with Miley Cyrus fans ages 2-50 it was great! Glen Beck started everything of so perfect, I knew Nick liked him but to me it was just another person but he was talking about our country and what we stand for and everything and got choked up over it. And with my pregnant hormones I was crying a little to. But they had sky divers come in from every military branch and then BOOM a giant things of fireworks started. I was so completely scared I just started crying..shaking a little to but it scared the crap out of me! Then they had the stadium of fire dancers which was about 1300 girls dancing for 7 minutes. They performed all the olympic sports in their dance, while they were dancing people from each would come out and do whatever the sport was. (they had people ride through on their bikes, karate kids, soccer...you get the point) Then the Blue Man Group came out and they really were amazing. I love these guys, Nick loved them too! And then wonderful Miley Cyrus came out. Don't get me wrong I think she is cute and everything but my goodness this child has people just wrapped around her finger. It was cute seeing all the little girls singing along and dancing but then there was the old ladies 40+ sitting next to Nick singing and dancing. Now if they had kids with them or something this wouldn't be scary but it was just them. A little frightning if you ask me! Then the giant fireworks...I never in my life have seen that many at one time. I was actually getting kind of tired of them after about 20 minutes, but either way it was amazing!

Doughnut Falls

Nick and I decided to drive up one of the canyons and somehow he talked me into walking up to doughnut falls. Here I am about 5 months pregnant in the heat walking uphill....not a mix that I recommend. I was so completely tired and just ready to pass out! But it really was beautiful up there. I would go again...when Im not 5 months pregnant.
I feel so bad for Nick because there are so many things he wants to do and I physically can't. Poor guy but he is being great about it all and making sure that we still are doing plenty that I can handle.
I really was hoping Nick wouldn't post the pictures of me and the huge pregnant tummy but oh well. All of you that have been wanting to see pictures...well there you go! I just have a hard time with the non stop growing tummy...I really wonder how much bigger can I get???

Our first little one

Photobucket

I probably should have told everyone sooner and Im really sorry but things have been crazy lately. We found out we are having a little boy...Neacel (like Diesel but with a N) Parker. During the whole ultrasound he was moving around, it was cute to watch and feel it at the same time. Everything looks great, he is obviously eating well by the looks of it. We got to see him yawn twice which was really neat and even though he looks kinda like an alien he is to cute! The technician would go to take measurements of his leg and everytime she would go to freeze the picture he would move. He never stops, its a 24 hour a day thing. I read that the baby only actually kicks a few times an hour and I just started laughing. If Neacel only kicked a few times I would love it, but he is non stop. We are so excited to have him, Im hoping for sooner then later. We will see what the doctor says Monday but according to the ultrasound Im due the first week of November!

Its Just Life....I Think!?!

Some of you may not know but last Monday I was let go from Kid to Kid. Their reason was that they had hired another girl before they got ownership and she was starting this week! They offered me my job their first day of ownership. So I guess they couldn't keep me,yeah ok I didn't love it there anyways but it helped pay bills and made it possible for Nick and I to still do things. Its been a week now and I haven't had any luck in the world with finding a job. Ive applied everywhere and no one will take on the risk of hiring a pregnant girl...which I might add can work alot harder then these high school children getting the jobs~ I thought I had a job at Dairy Queen, I stood up and her first question was "So how many kids do you have?" I replied with "Just the one on the way, but I have a ways to go still!" Suddenly her tone changed from Im going to work something out on the schedule to we will call you if we get an opening! Are you kidding me? You have a GIANT now hiring sign up and ads online, and your going to call me if you get an opening!? Nick tells me to have more faith and I know I should but I can't find anything! And employers are doing exactly what they shouldn't be...discriminating! I can work every bit as hard as people who aren't pregnant, I have an easy schedule, and plan on working untill I have the baby and then going back! Somehow that isn't good enough? I don't know what else I can do at this point. I went to the LDS employment office this morning and the sister there was very helpful but didn't hesitate to say that its going to be very hard for me to find something. She has since called me twice for 2 jobs that just came in that might work for me. Ive applied even at Convergy's and even they turned me down! Walmart, Kmart and Shopko...still haven't heard anything from them. Im trying to stay strong and go on with life and pretend everything is just fine but its really not! I want to just give my old employer a piece of my mind. I want her to know how much she has hurt not only me, but my family! But, my mother didn't raise me that way....I was taught you just smile and walk away things will work out the way the Lord wants them to in the end! I just keep thinking of our child and what if I can't find a job? How are we going to afford a baby? We have cut every corner we can, there is nothing more to cut and its still hard for us! The economy stinks and people who are trying to live a normal life can't because gas is to expensive, groceries are starting to add up, and every other little thing! Im just stressed about not having a job, those of you that know me really well know that me staying home drives me insane. I become very depressed and start to fall apart. Right now I have no reason to stay home and Im starting to go insane slowy...I know when I have the baby Ill be home but thats different! But enough of me being Debbie Downer....

On the more positive side of things...I went to the doctor today and finally I gained weight! Never thought I would be happy about that. Heard the baby's little heart beat and the doctor sounded happy with everything.Im 18 weeks now but Im measuring about 20 and a half...he was also kinda shocked that I had already felt the baby, but completely blown away at the fact that Nick has felt the baby kick. He said that should happen for another 2 weeks about...he said its great though that the baby can kick hard enough that you can feel it on the outside!
Nick felt the baby last week sometime and Ill never forget that look on his face, one of totally happiness, fear and just weird! Since then he hasn't wanted to feel the baby but I don't blame him, I still think its weird. Its comforting knowing everything is ok but at the same time I just want to yell stop. This kid is non stop! From the time I get up till the time I go to bed Im constantly feeling something. And its kicking hard enough to wake me up at night...Im so looking forward to the next few months! Im just keeping my fingers crossed that with me measuring farther along that Ill have the baby sooner!!!!
