I broke my first bone! Not a major break just a little one but still this is hilarious to me. Monday I was getting the house cleaned and I had 2 baskets of laundry to put away and Neacel was throwing a fit. So instead of carrying them one by one to our room I thought why not push them both to the room then run out here and get Neacel. So I'm pushing these baskets thru the house and in the hallway I stub my baby toe. ( that spot where the door frame and the floor board meet...that little cut out corner) I just start trying to breathe again and start punching the wall. Now I know stubbing your toe is never a wonderful feeling but holy crap did this hurt. I pull myself together and go about my day noticing that my toe is bruised and swollen. Nick took a look at it and we decided to just tape it and not to worry about calling the doctor or anything. By Wednesday my toe is killing me and walking isn't an easy task. Nick says I should call the doctor and explain what happened and see what they say. The nurse calls back and said I need to come in and have a x-ray done to see if its broken. I told my mom and we sat on the phone laughing thinking of everything Ive done in my past and how I have never broken a bone. Nick takes me to the doctor later that day and after everything the doctor comes in and says its broken. Just a small break but broken. I burst out laughing! I couldn't help it. As much as a wild child I was and all the other things that have happened Ive never broken a bone Ive gotten stitches and sprained things, but stubbing my toe while pushing laundry did it. I laughed pretty much the whole time we were there. I still find it funny. Doctor said it should be better in about 3 weeks and to just keep it taped. Talk about luck, next week we are going to Ohio and have tons of things planned. Good thing I can still do them all!!
Just a few other little things. On May 22nd Neacel said "da da" we don't know if he knew what he was saying but either way he said it. Neacel is so close to crawling but has found a few other ways of getting around the house. We started brushing his teeth and he loves it. He is sitting up really well now. Still is eating us out of house and home but we have added new things to his food possibilities. Cheerios, Gerber Puffs, yogurt, and almost anything off our plate...except things that he could have allergies to. He will be 7 months tomorrow and I'm having a little bit of a hard time with that. We are just a little bit over half way done with his first year. Time is just flying by and I hate it.
We leave Tuesday morning for Ohio and a fun filled vacation. Cedar Point, the zoo, Pittsburgh, Kalahari(water park), and who knows what else! My mom is the only one on my side of the family that has seen Neacel, and so everyone else is dying to see him.
About 2 weeks ago we stayed in Midway with Nicks parents, just a mini vacation. Nick left early in the morning and his parents took me around to see different things. I left Midway wanting to go to the Crater and scuba dive. I am obsessed with this now and plan on scuba diving there before I'm 30!
Homestead Crater in Midway, UT - It is a 55-foot tall, beehive-shaped limestone rock that nature has hollowed out where the water bubbles up from the earth heated to a perfect 96 degrees. The crater is a 60-foot-deep, 100-foot-wide shaft that’s filled with geothermally heated water.
